Music festival insurance?

Friday, 27 Jun 2008 17:07
A reader is heading off to some music festivals this summer, but wants to make sure his camera is covered.

Ian Durrell, myfinances.co.uk insurance expert from the Only Group, which includes onlyinsurance.com, tackles the issue.

Chris from London asks:

I'm going to a couple of music festivals this summer. If I take a camera, how can I make sure it is insured?

Ian replies:

If you have a current home insurance policy it should cover you for items away from the home.

It is worth checking with them that you are covered.

If you don’t have a home insurance policy check with your travel insurance provider. Failing that the cheapest option may be a UK travel insurance policy.
