Lloyds TSB current accounts welcomes Polish customers

Monday, 11 Dec 2006 16:50
Lloyds TSB - one of the first banks to embrace Muslim mortgages - has announced plans to make it easier than ever for Polish immigrants to open bank accounts.

Lloyds TSB will provide staff with account opening forms in Polish and Polish language brochures in the bank’s top 130 Polish serving branches to help customers understand the account features.

Lloyds TSB also simplified its identification requirements, allowing new accounts to be opened with just a passport or EU identity card.

Since 2004 around 265,000 Poles have applied to the work in the UK.
