Royal Bank of Scotland graduate account offers £2,000 interest-free

Students graduating this year are being offered up to £2,000 interest-free with the Royal Bank of Scotland graduate account.

The Graduate Royalties offer offers a three-year interest-free stepped overdraft facility of up to £2,000 or the option of an interest-free loan of up to £2,000.

"Our Graduate Royalties account has really useful benefits and graduates can start using the discounts on offer as soon as their account is open," said Katie Cassidy, of RBS Graduate Banking.

"Many graduates feel under financial pressure after leaving university, so to help in easing that pressure, we have a great team of advisers on hand in our branches.

"They can talk to graduates about any concerns they may have with the financial transition from studying to finding employment."

The Royal Bank Graduate Royalties account offers:
  • Interest free overdraft of £2,000 until June of the third year after graduation as detailed:
    - Year 1 up to £2,000 interest free
    - Year 2 up to £1,500 interest free
    - Year 3 up to £1,000 interest free
  • Interest free loan of up to £2,000 (as per annual interest free limits above) to repay an existing graduate overdraft over three years (graduates may apply for the loan until June of the 2nd year following graduation and full repayment must be made by the end of the third year after graduation)
  • Graduate Loans for up to £15,000 at preferential rates (graduates may apply until June of the third year after graduation)
  • Deferred payments of up to 12 months
  • 0.25% interest rate bonus on Instant Access Savings account
  • Fee free credit card
  • Payment Card Protection
  • Special deals on mortgages

  • 10% off selected holidays and travel
  • Commission free travel money
  • Fee Free American Express Travellers Cheque Card

    Entertainment:
  • 25% off dining discount at over 450 UK restaurants when booked online
  • 25% off selected theatre and concert tickets in mainland UK
  • Discounts on selected DVD’s, videos, computer games and CD’s
  • 20% discount on over one million books

    Insurance
  • 10% discount on car insurance
  • 15% introductory discount on home insurance
