Money's no problem for skiers

Wednesday, 15 Oct 2008 11:14
A debit card which provides secure access to cash worldwide is being offered at a reduced rate to skiers.

FairFX.com is offering members of the Ski Club of Great Britain the chance to apply for its currency card, which normally costs £9.95 for a three year membership, for free.

The card, which is a MasterCard chip and pin-enabled debit card, works by the user first loading funds onto the card.

The cards are issued in either Euros or US Dollars and, according to FairFx.com it can actually save cardholders money.

Stephen Heath, chief executive of FairFX.com, said: "The currency card provides good value, secure access to cash worldwide and could save people up to €10 per £100 spent, and in the current climate every penny counts."

FairFX.com has already collaborated with internet comparison site, moneysupermarket.com and clothing store Matalan. The latest partnership with The Ski Club of Great Britain marks the next stage of the firm's expansion.

Heath added: "Brits keen to hit the slopes despite the credit crunch should ensure their euros take them further."
