Virgin offer 15-month 0% balance transfer

Thursday, 19 Jul 2007 18:15
Virgin has increased its 0% deal on balance transfers to a market-leading 15 months.

There is also a three-month interest-free deal for new purchases.

“Virgin Money already holds the top spot of the charts with its 13 month 0% balance transfer deal, and by extending this to an impressive 15 months, its certainly pulling away from the pack of 12 month deals offered by its competitors," said Michelle Slade, personal finance analyst at Moneyfacts.co.uk.

There is a 2.98% balance transfer fee attached (min £3) and after the interest-free period ends the interest rate on the card reverts to 15.9%.

"Such a competitive deal may not stay around for long, so if it’s a 0% balance transfer deal you are looking and the term is important to you then this deal simply cannot be beaten," said Ms Slade.
