M&S adds pet insurance benefits

Thursday, 06 Dec 2007 17:28
Marks & Spencer Money is adding some extra benefits to its pet insurance cover.

The Premier policy replaces the existing pet insurance cover and is available for new customers and existing customers when they renew.

M&S is offering lifetime cover for dogs and cats with both the new Premier policy and the new standard policy – meaning pets are protected throughout their lives.

The Premier policy also offers cover for vets' fees up to £7,000 a year, no upper age limit for new pets, no time limits for treatment and a five per cent discount for multiple pets.

The standard M&S cover offers up to £4,000 cover for vets' fees a year, with an annual condition limit of £1,000.

Both polices have unlimited access to a telephone advice line and a five per cent discount on medicines from the Best Pet Pharmacy.

Judith Roberts, M&S insurance manager, said: "M&S pet insurance has always provided customers with the reassurance of lifetime cover for their pets. We are now offering more options and greater choice to help our customers manage their own pets' health."
