Nationwide insurance price offer

Nationwide Building Society is offering to beat customers' home insurance premiums or refund the difference up to £100.

The offer runs until November 2nd, 2007.

The building society is also offering a 20 per cent discount if building and contents insurance are bought together, and 30 per cent off they are bought online.

A 12.5 per cent discount is in place if either buildings or contents insurance are purchased online.

Nationwide insurance director, Robin Bailey, said: "This is a genuine offer to beat what customers paid last year for their home insurance. If we are unable to do so, then we promise to refund the difference up to £100.

"By opting for Nationwide's home insurance, customers can be sure that they are benefiting from excellent customer care and better cover as standard."

Key features of Nationwide's home insurance include:

Unlimited buildings cover for eligible properties;
Up to £1,000 cover for contents in the garden;
Cover for accidental damage to home entertainment equipment;
Cover for MP3 players and music downloads;
Up to £500 cover for the contents of the fridge and freezer;
No extra charge for paying monthly by Direct Debit;
Cover for students' belongings while at university or college (up to sum insured)
