N&P bid to insure a happy Christmas

Tuesday, 04 Nov 2008 18:17
Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N&P) is urging people to buy home insurance this Christmas by offering the chance to win a state-of-the-art TV.

The festive season, according to the insurance provider, is the ideal time to ensure buildings and contents cover is in place.

Homes are more alluring to burglars when houses are full of seasonal treats and presents and the winter months bring more potential for pipes to burst.

And more fresh food than ever being bought during the festive period, it's important to ensure your home insurance policy covers the contents of your freezer, N&P said.

Steve Kendall, sales and operations director of N&P insurance brokers said: "It's an important time of year to check the small print of your insurance policy.

"Spilling mulled wine on your favourite carpet would be stressful enough, but finding out that your policy doesn't cover you because it was accidental damage would be even more stressful."

In a bid to encourage people to get their insurance in order, N&P is offering everyone a chance to win a 19 inch Sharp Aquos HD-ready digital television.
