On the piste? Tesco Travel Insurance has it covered

Tuesday, 18 Nov 2008 11:30
Skiers, snowboarders and even bob-sleighers are being offered the chance to take out free winter sports cover with Tesco this season.

Tesco Travel Insurance is offering the deal to customers who take out an annual policy between now and January 7th, 2009.

Winter sports cover insures people who are doing sports and activities such as skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, ice skating, bob-sleighing and tobogganing.

It includes cover for piste closure, loss and replacement of winter sports equipment and loss of ski passes or fees and runs for up to 22 days.

Rachel Cutler, head of Tesco Travel Insurance, said there were lots of bargain winter holidays being advertised at the moment.

She added: "We're helping to reduce the cost of such trips further by throwing in our comprehensive winter sports cover with all annual insurance policies.

"You never know what might happen on holiday so it's best to be covered for the unexpected."
