Abbey: 8-day mortgage offer

Friday, 23 Nov 2007 17:35
Abbey is to offer a two-year fixed rate mortgage at 5.79 per cent for eight days.

The mortgage is available from Monday November 26th 2007 for eight days and is open to those who can complete before December 31st.

Fees stand at £675 and free legal and valuation fees are provided for remortgage customers.

Nici Audhlam-Gardiner, Abbey head of mortgages, said: "From November 26th for 8 days only, we are offering free legals and valuation on our core 2-year fixed rate mortgage product.

"Normally free legals and valuation are only available on our remortgage product, which has a rate of 5.89 per cent. However, this deal has a rate of 5.79 per cent and so offers great value for people who can complete before the end of the year."

Abbey’s new mortgage range also contains ten and 15-year mortgages at 5.79 per cent with a £595 fee and a three-year fix at 5.79 per cent with £675 fee.

"From 26 November we’ll be offering ten and 15-year fixed rates mortgages for the price of our five-year fix. We’re doing something similar for three-year fixes which will be on offer for the price of two-year fixes," concluded Ms Audhlam-Gardiner.
