Loughborough launches new mortgages for East Midlands

Loughborough Building Society is launching a new range of mortgages only for people living in the East Midlands and existing customers.
The building society is offers two three-year SVR linked discount rate mortgages at 5.99 per cent and 6.15 per cent with completion fees of £749 and £999 respectively.
A new term discount mortgage at 6.3 per cent with £999 completion fee is also being offered with a five year tie in.
Booking fees on all mortgages are £100.
"While many banks and building societies are closing their doors on new borrowers, we are keen to carry on offering the types of product and service that both customers and new members within our heartland have come to expect from us," said Stephen Peete, chief executive of Loughborough.
"We believe that building societies were, and should continue to be, the glue that holds the community together.
"[This] is why we will continue to do our utmost to look after the people who live and work within the areas that are served by our branch network."
