AA launches online savings account paying 5.61% interest

Monday, 30 Apr 2007 15:55
AA Savings has launched a new issue of its online easy-access 12-month bonus account, paying 5.61 per cent interest.

The AA's Internet Savings Account offers secure online functionality, which in most cases requires no signature and no cheque for the first deposit.

Money is transferred by BACS and customers can undertake and track all their transactions online. From first enquiry, the AA aims to have new accounts fully operating in ten working days.

Interest on the account is calculated daily and paid monthly.

Minimum opening balance is £1 with a maximum of £5 million. Unlimited deposits and withdrawals can be made.

"The internet is an increasingly trusted avenue for making major financial transactions and this account features market-leading security as well as being exceptionally easy to open," explained Lloyd East, director of AA personal finance.
