Tuesday, 06 Nov 2007 17:20
AA Savings is launching a telephone savings account offering 6.30 per cent gross/AER (5.04 per cent net).
The AA Telephone Access Account is open for deposits between £500 and £500,000 – with up to £1 million for a joint account.
The account has no introductory bonus, unlimited cash withdrawals and deposits without a penalty.
Mark Huggins, managing director of AA Financial Services, said: "Not everyone is happy to make financial transactions over the internet and this new account provides a top interest-paying option for those preferring to use the telephone to manage their financial affairs.
"This is a secure, well-managed account from one of Britain's most trusted brands. It's very easy to manage and is completely transparent. It's also easy to operate, as well as offering one of the best easy-access rates available."
The AA call centre is open 08.00-20.00 Monday to Saturday. Interest is calculated daily and credited annually or monthly to the savings account itself or to a personal bank account, to act as income.
