Bradford & Bingley: What If? Savings at 6.25%

Bradford & Bingley has launched a new savings accounts at 6.25 per cent p.a. gross (5.75 per cent AER).

The What If? (Special Edition) allows four minimum withdrawals of £250 a year without facing an interest penalty and is open to savings of between £2,000 and £2 million.

The 6.25 per cent interest rate is inclusive of a one per cent pa gross bonus for all balances for the first 180 days from the anniversary of the account opening.

It also allows interest to be paid monthly or annually.

Paul Whitlock, head of savings at Bradford & Bingley, said: "The What If? Saver (Special Edition) account is ideal for customers who are looking to earn an attractive rate on their money while retaining the flexibility offered by instant access.

"That way, when life springs one of her opportunities on you, such as the holiday of a lifetime or simply those 'must-have' shoes you’ve been saving for, the convenience of the What If? Saver (Special Edition) account will help you to make the opportunity a reality."

Bradford & Bingley has also increased the interest rate on the My Time Postal Account.

The rate on the savings account will increase from 6.30 per cent to 6.45 per cent p.a. gross (6.45 per cent AER), variable for both new and existing savers.
