6.27% Citibank flexible saver

Citibank has increased the interest rate it pays on its flexible saver account to 6.27% gross.

This rate is fixed for the first six months from account opening before dropping to 5.75% AER.

"We are committed to offering customers the best return on their savings and by choosing Flexible Saver customers can benefit from an account which offers not only a great rate but easy access to funds with no penalties," said Tobias van der Meer, Citibank head of wealth management.

Citibank Flexible Saver key features:
  • Interest is earned on balances from £1 up to £1 million.
  • Interest rate of 6.27% gross p.a. fixed for the first six months from account opening –6.10% AER in the first year.
  • Underlying interest rate of 5.75% AER, 5.61% gross p.a. (variable).
  • No notice periods or penalties for withdrawals.
  • Interest is calculated daily and applied monthly.
  • Monthly statement.
  • Accounts can be held solely or jointly.
  • Citibank Flexible Saver account can be opened on the Citibank website, by CitiPhone telephone banking or in Citibank branches.
