Private investors offered free institutional-grade equity research

Thursday, 08 May 0200 17:58
Private investors are being offering a new equity research guide.

Investment information firm IIR is offering free information about firms with a new tool, the Research Oracle.

Institutional-grade research analysis is provided on 400 top global stocks free of charge, with the site funded via advertising, and the firm claims the site is completely independent since the company has no investment banking, broking or asset management activities.

Shane Smith, chief executive of IIR Group, said: "This launch represents a genuine leap forward for the finance sector as it allows investors at all points of the spectrum equal access to information and analysis, the lifeblood of the industry, on a level playing field – from the smaller private investor, to the investment clubs with a slightly greater vested interest, to seasoned professionals working for global financial institutions."

IIR first started out providing information on currencies before moving into equities – and Mr Smith explained the first key selling point for those investing across borders is that ratings take into account currency fluctuations.

The Research Oracle is available at the Research Oracle website.
