Alliance Trust offers commission-free share price purchases

Wednesday, 11 Jul 2007 10:53
Alliance Trust Savings is offering commission-free online share purchases for UK listed stocks until September 28th.

Available to both new and existing online customers, the new deal means customers can buy for free and just pay a £5 commission for online share sales.

"Our new summer offer is an exciting opportunity for existing customers and people new to online share dealing," said Claudia Philips, managing director of investment dealing.

"During our summer sale, customers will be able to enjoy unlimited free online share purchases and a heavily discounted online sales charge. This offer makes Alliance Trust Savings one of the cheapest share dealing services currently on the market with no caveats hidden in the small print.

"Not only does this offer a superior, efficient share dealing service to our existing customers and we are confident that this will encourage new customers to try out our online service.

"Our system offers flexibility and ease of use enabling customers to manage their portfolios and those of their families in one place whenever they want."

The offer applies to all online UK equity trades between July 9th and September 28th 2007 across Alliance Trust’s dealing, ISA, PEP and Self Select SIPP accounts.
