Investors get China fund from Jupiter

Tuesday, 10 Oct 2006 17:08
Jupiter has said it is launching a new China fund October 20th, allowing UK investors easy access to opportunities in China.

The fund is designed to achieve capital growth by investing in Chinese companies, and will be managed by Philip Ehrmann.

Mr Ehrmann previously managed the Gartmore China Opportunities and Gartmore Asia Pacific funds.

The Fund will at first focus on stocks listed on exchanges such Hong Kong, Singapore and the Nasdaq, rather than in companies listed on the Chinese domestic stock exchange (A shares).

"It is, however, possible that we may invest on the domestic exchange over time as this market develops," Mr Ehrman added.
