N&P offer fixed-rate ISAs at 5.9%

Tuesday, 17 Apr 2007 15:55
Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N&P) is offering people fixed-rate mini cash ISAs paying up to 5.9% interest.

"As we're in the new tax year, people are obviously thinking about ISAs and we want to make sure our customers are able to benefit from a good rate with the reassurance that it won’t vanish in a couple of months," said Gary Lacey, N&P’s group product manager.

"N&P offers a wide choice of ISAs and in fact, I believe we have one of the most diverse ranges currently available, with fixed, variable and notice options."

N&P fixed-rate ISAs
  • 1 year fixed rate ISA - 5.75% AER
  • 2 year fixed rate ISA - 5.90% AER
  • 3 year fixed rate ISA - 5.45% AER

To gain access to these fixed-rate ISA deals, customers must invest £3,000 in the current tax year, with no additional deposits.

Withdrawn funds cannot be replaced, however transfers from other ISAs are allowed.

At the end of the fixed period, the rate will become the same as the current variable rate Mini Cash ISA

Withdrawals can be made at any N&P branch or by post with the loss of 120 days interest during the fixed period.
