0% commission on Tesco currency

Friday, 22 May 2009 12:00

Tesco is offering zero per cent commission on foreign currency and travellers' cheques, it has announced this week.

As well as being able to supply currency from over 60 countries, Tesco said it checks its Euro and US dollar rates against its main competitors every weekday to ensure it has the best rates.

Tesco has a foreign currency exchange at over 100 of its UK stores. However, customers can also order their money online and next-day delivery is available on orders made before noon on Monday to Thursday.

And Tesco has also issued financial advice to holidaymakers. It said travellers should try to stick to a daily budget, especially if they were staying in self catering accommodation.

And it urged people not to leave buying currency to the last minute as, often, exchanging money at the airport or ferry port can cost more.
