Caxton FX: Stress-free currency card

Wednesday, 24 June 2009 12:00

Caxton FX is urging gap year travellers to try out its prepaid currency card claiming it could save up to ten per cent on standard costs.

The Global Traveller is similar to a debit card except money is loaded on to the card prior to use. It can be topped up remotely, free of charge.

According to Caxton FX, it is the only prepaid currency card which does not charge customers cash withdrawal fees. It also offers, said the firm, "bank-beating" exchange rates.

And it is promoting the card to gap year students as an easy and safe way to make payments during a year abroad.

James Hickman, managing director of Caxton FX, said: "Our card offers stress-free, seamless spending overseas.

"We're excited to offer considerable savings and security on gap year spending - an attractive prospect for parents whose offspring are heading off on a year abroad."
