Sky changes broadband range

Sky has announced new download limits on its broadband packages, which have also undergone a name change and reduction in usage size this week.

The firm's Broadband Mid has been repackaged as Sky Broadband Everyday and now has a download limit of 10Mb and 600Kb upload speeds.

Meanwhile, its Broadband Max package, which now provides up to 20Mb of download space, has become Sky Broadband Unlimited and provides 1.3Mb upload speeds.

Sky has also announced its free trial period of the McAfee Security software has been cut to three months on the Sky Broadband Everyday and Sky Broadband Base products.

And Sky Broadband Everyday customers will see their usage reduced from 40GB to 10GB.

Existing Sky Broadband Mid customers will see their 10GB usage allowance begin on August 1st, 2009.
