Independent energy supplier Ovo Energy has said it no longer intends to increase prices for its variable rate customers as it had planned.

Age UK has announced details of its new energy tariff.

It has unveiled, in conjunction with E.ON, its Online Saver product - which offers additional benefits such as Cold Weather Payments.

To celebrate the launch, the organisation is giving ten per cent discount to all new online energy customers until Friday August 6th.

Gordon Morris, managing director of Age UK Enterprises, noted: "Our customers are at the forefront of all we do and we are committed to offering them the widest possible choice."

He added consumers can also purchase energy through their trading offices or over the phone if they do not wish to do so via the internet.
