Free financial advice for all with Money Advice Service

Wednesday, 06 April 2011 02:54

The Money Advice Service site aims to deliver free financial advice to all Britons, without bias or outside influence.

Visitors to the site can expect free financial advice independent of any licensing deals, limitations or commercial agendas.

Although it was established by the government, the Money Advice Service is a standalone organisation funded through statutory levies on the financial services industry.

Its primary role is to help members of the public to better understand the monetary products available to them.

Chairman Gerard Lemos says: "I firmly believe we can all enjoy life more given the right money advice, at the right time, in the right way."

He adds that nobody will be charged for their use of the site - and that it is not intended to act as a sales tool for products within the industry.

Special sections of the site deal with personal predicaments like divorce and separation, parenthood and dealing with money at specific times of life.
