Earn £30 cashback by switching energy provider or tariff

Confused.com is offering its customers up to £30 cashback if they use the comparison site to switch their energy supplier or tariff.

Households can receive £15 cashback for making a gas changeover, £15 for electricity, or the full £30 for making a dual fuel switch by midnight on March 4, 2012.

The website said difficult economic times mean that people are not only on the lookout for bargains, but are also becoming savvier.

Lisa Greenfield, energy analyst at Confused.com, said: “We believe that there are so many people in the UK needlessly wasting money by staying with their current supplier for years, and they need to be made aware that loyalty really doesn't pay.”

She said that with energy suppliers having recently announced price changes, it’s the perfect time to shop around.

“We think customers will be pleasantly surprised by how much they could save for doing something that's so easy,” she added.
