Summer burglary threat grows, but ex-thief offers some help

Summer brings a greater burglary risk, as homes are left empty as we head on holiday and front windows are open as we relax in the garden.

Making sure your home is secure is paramount, whatever the weather, and reformed burglar Michael Fraser is now offering some tips on how to protect your property.

The threat of recession, the infamous credit crunch and rising prices are also increasing fears of crime rising.

According to research by AlertMe.Com, over half of Brits fear the credit crunch will mean a rise in crime as people increasingly struggle to keep up with the cost of living. Three quarters of people claim they would never turn to crime under any circumstances. This still leaves one in four people, however, who would turn to crime if their situation became dire enough.

However, Michael is on hand to provide some tips to make sure your home is safe as houses.
