LV= improves income protection insurance

Friday, 23 November 2007 12:00

Friendly society LV=, formerly Liverpool Victoria, is to make improvements to its income protection product range.

Some 54 per cent of the Combined Life and Critical Illness rates premiums are to be cut and 19 per cent will remain the same.

Teachers and dentists in particular will see cheaper premiums.

The FPP Mortgage Payment Protection for unemployment will now include those who work for a minimum of six months or more than 16 hours a week. Customers also do not have to live in the UK for 40 weeks a year.

LV= has also removed questions about how important driving is to an applicant's occupation.
