Secret insurance - the top 10 hidden benefits
Insurance offers much more in the fine print than many people realise, and those in the know can receive superb hidden benefits.
While you might know your car insurance policy pays out in an accident, or your home insurance pays for items lost in a fire, that is only the beginning in many cases.
For example does your car include breakdown cover? What about when you are driving abroad?
Or home insurance - does this cover your iPod on the Tube, or pay for a new carpet if you spill red wine on it?
And in an effort to get to the bottom of the insurance world - protection specialist LifeSearch has highlighted what it believes are the ten best policy features which are missed by most consumers.
"There are many excellent and unique benefits available to customers that deserve to be more widely known," said Matt Morris, LifeSearch policy adviser.
"It's important that price is not the only consideration when buying protection. These policy features could really make a difference to people's lives and hopefully more customers will start to take advantage of them in the future."
