M&S: Online travel insurance discount

Marks & Spencer is offering a 20 per cent online discount on its travel insurance from August 7th to September 3rd.

The policy offers UK, European and worldwide cover with access to an online medical screening facility as well as the services of a personal travel assistant to help plan their trip.

The policy also covers independent travellers on its annual policy if flight cancellations result in further losses.

Steve Price, M&S head of general insurance, said: "M&S travel insurance already offers great value for customers with a range of cover that has been recognised with the award of a five star rating from Defaqto.

"Customers already receive a five per cent discount when applying online, and we are pleased to offer this additional discount during one of the busiest holiday periods."

Other M&S Travel Insurance features include:

• Cover for singles, couples, single parent families and families
• Up to £6,000 if your holiday is cancelled or cut short
• Up to £50,000 for personal accident
• Up to £10 million for medical expenses
• Up to £50,000 for legal expenses
• Up to £2 million for personal liability
• Up to £2,500 for personal baggage per person with a further ten per cent discount is luggage is not insured
