Standard Life to sell LV= protection plans

Wednesday, 26 November 2008 12:00

Standard Life customers can now take advantage of LV='s protection products after the two firms formed a new partnership.

Under the new deal, LV= - the Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society - will provide its Income Protection Plan and whole-of-life 50 Plus Plan through Standard Life's direct telesales team.

While LV= will deal with the underwriting, administration and maintenance of the products, Standard Life will take charge of marketing and sales.

Stuart Tragheim, of LV=, said: "We have an award-winning product and service expertise in protection, and Standard Life recognised our financial strength, and our ability to deliver bespoke product solutions for customers."

He added: "This partnership builds on our substantial experience in packaging life and general insurance products for the customers of other like-minded organisations."

LV= already provides its products through Nationwide Building Society, Help the Aged and Royal College of Midwives, among other organisations.
