Tesco offers 25% discount on child health care

Tesco is offering 25 per cent off health cover for children this Christmas.

The deal, which is being offered to anyone who takes out its Child Health Plan before January 8th, means policies will plunge from £9.99 per child to £7.49 per child.

Additional children can be covered for the knockdown price of £6.49 per child, which is reduced from £8.99.

According to Tesco, its Child Health Plan includes provision to help parents find out what is wrong with their child, if they fall ill, and then provide access to treatment.

The plan does not cover accident and emergency treatment, but it does potentially offer quicker access to diagnostic tests following referral by a GP and scans and x-rays.

The plan is underwritten by AXA PPP healthcare. The 25 per cent discount is available for the first year of new policies.
