Tesco toothbrush dental insurance offer

Tesco is offering a free electric toothbrush for those signing up to its dental insurance.

The Oral-B ProfessionalCare 5000XL electric toothbrush worth £34.99 will be offered to customers taking up the insurance policy.

Two levels of cover are available - core and premium - with both covering the cost of planned and unplanned dental treatment.

Prices start from £8.95 a month.

Tesco Dental Insurance tips on how to care for your toothbrush:

• Replace toothbrushes every three months
• Do not share your toothbrush as this increases risk of infection.
• Rinse your toothbrush thoroughly with tap water after use and allow it to air-dry in an upright position.
• Do not keep your toothbrush within six feet of your toilet.
• Store multiple brushes in separate containers to avoid cross-contamination.
• Do not store toothbrushes in closed containers as the humid environment encourages bacterial growth.
