Tesco motorbike insurance comparison site launched
Tesco Personal Finance is set to launch a new motorbike insurance service.
The insurance comparison site is aimed at the growing number of motorcycle, moped and scooter riders - with the largest increase in registrations in 2007 in seven years - as congestion charges and high petrol costs drive more people to two wheels.
Allan Burns, head of insurance at Tesco Personal Finance, said: "Many people find their journeys are quicker, cheaper and more eco-friendly by motorbike - which is why we are seeing growth in their popularity.
"Our customers told us they wanted help in choosing their insurance and our Motorbike Insurance Finder does the hard work for them."
The comparison engine - run in partnership with The Bike Insurer, looks at quotes for comprehensive, third party fire & theft, and third party only motorcycle insurance from a number of insurers and brokers.
