N&G launch 3rd party boat insurance

Wednesday, 08 April 2009 12:00

Navigators & General (N&G) has begun a low-cost third party only insurance policy to provide basic protection for boats against the cost of damage to surrounding craft.

The insurance offers £3 million in liability protection and up to £15,000 cover for wreck removal and destruction. Cover also extend to using other uninsured boats.

The new cover is designed for boat owners that use inland waterways, marinas, harbours and boat yards.

James Roberts, Head of Navigators & General, commented "Third party damage is becoming an expensive and growing issue for some of our customers.

"Boat owners using the inland waterways have to have a boat licence which requires third party insurance as a minimum - something most people are unaware of until they arrange a licence."
