Barclays: Half price contents insurance
Barclays is offering half price home contents insurance for one year.
It is running the deal until 31st August for customers who are taking out contents insurance with the bank for the first time.
Gary Duggan, managing director for consumer lending and insurance for Barclays, said the offer could help thousands of people to cut the cost of their home insurance.
He added: "A family living in Chelmsford taking out our standard contents insurance of £50,000 cover could pay just £5.66 a month, knocking £68 off their annual bill."
According to Barclays, customers taking out its home insurance benefit from access to a dedicated 24-hour claims helpline and contents cover with liability as occupier of up to £2million as standard.
They can also receive standard contents cover of up to £50,000 and buildings cover of up to £500,000.
Online customers will also receive a further discount of ten per cent.
