Swiftcover: Free car insurance for millionth customer

Tuesday, 19 May 2009 12:00

Swiftcover is giving away free car insurance to the one millionth person to sign up for a policy.

The insurer said it has seen a "surge in interest" from new customers since the beginning of the year - with their Iggy Pop adverts hitting the headlines when it was revealed musicians could not be covered - which means it was expecting the milestone to occur at some point in the next month.

And for that reason it wanted to mark the achievement with a special celebration.

Tina Shortle, marketing director for Swifcover, said: "This is a huge milestone for Swiftcover, so we want to celebrate by doing what we do best - and that's help people save money on their motor insurance.

"What better way is there to do that than actually give free insurance to our lucky one millionth customer."

Swiftcover predicts the winner is likely to sign up in the next 30 days.
