MRL: New prices for wedding insurance

Thursday, 13 August 2009 12:00

Brides and grooms spending over £50,000 can now insure their wedding at a reduced price with MRL.

The insurer has introduced new lower premiums, which mean its policies now start at £19.99 for the Silver product range.

It is one of five different policies which provide varying degrees of cover. Top protection comes in the form of the Premier plan offering cover for couples spending more than £50,000.

Alan Reif, director of MRL, said: "There are endless ways in which a wedding can go wrong from cancellation of a venue to lost or damaged photographs.

"While some things can never be corrected a payment from an insurance policy will in the very least take away some of the upset and financial distress caused on what is a hugely special day."

Mr Reif said it was also possible to arrange insurance through MRL within 24 hours of the wedding.
