Direct Line: 8 weeks' free car insurance

Monday, 19 October 2009 12:00

Direct Line is offering eight weeks' worth of free car insurance to new customers.

Policyholders can expect to receive, as part of the comprehensive insurance policy, the insurer's vandalism and uninsured driver promise.

This means they will not lose their no claims discount or excess if their vehicle is vandalised or if it is hit by a driver who is not insured.

Kerry Chilvers, head of marketing for Direct Line, said: "In the current financial climate our offers highlight the fact that we have some of the best value products on the market."

She added: "We're not on price comparison websites and we don't pay anyone commission, so when customers come to us direct they could benefit from additional savings."
