PJ Hayman: Free Spirit travel insurance for pre-existing health conditions

Friday, 30 October 2009 12:00

PJ Hayman is providing a specialist travel insurance policy for people with pre-existing medical conditions.

The Free Spirit policy is being promoted as the specialist insurer uncovers evidence a third of Brits failed to purchase travel insurance on their last trip.

And 27 per cent said they thought they would struggle with a pre-existing condition to purchase a policy to cover them on holiday.

Now PJ Hayman is attempting to debunk this myth.

Peter Hayman, director of the insurer, said: "There are common misconceptions surrounding what conditions you can and cannot travel abroad with.

"Contrary to popular belief, the majority of people with pre-existing medical conditions can obtain travel insurance cover for their holidays abroad and we've developed a range of specialist policies to ensure they can travel with full cover."

It also offers Free Spirit Travel for Treatment insurance, which covers people travelling overseas for cosmetic, dental and elective treatment.
