Aviva has announced it has improved its policy documentation to make it more customer-friendly and extend its cover.

Anyone searching for Norwich Union online will need to look for Aviva from June 1st when the insurer changes its website's name.

The switchover comes as the firm becomes Aviva in a bid to create a single global brand.

Currently Norwich Union comes under the Aviva group umbrella of companies.

But while the name will change, Aviva has assured customers this is the only alternation they will see to the website.

Steve Genders, head of online sales and marketing at Aviva, said: "Though the journey for norwichunion.com is coming to an end from June 1st when our customers visit Aviva.co.uk, they will have access to everything expected from Norwich Union."
