RIAS: Overs 50s quick quote travel insurance

RIAS has launched a travel insurance policy for people aged 50 to 90 which can be set up over the phone or online in minutes.

The over-50s insurance provider has created the One Click, One Call policy to make it easier for customers with pre-existing medical conditions.

Travellers can purchase single trip or annual travel insurance cover by making just one phone call or visiting the website, and there is no need to make additional calls to declare any pre-existing conditions.

RIAS said there was no need for GP medical reports, either.

Janet Connor, managing director of RIAS, said: "Having to make separate phone calls about medical conditions, or having to complete an online medical form before an insurer will decide whether to offer cover or not, can be extremely off-putting.

"Our innovative 'One Click, One Call' solution gives our customers the ability to purchase a travel insurance policy in one step, covering their specific needs in a matter of minutes."

The range of travel insurance includes annual multi-trip, single trip and long stay policies. A 65-year-old customer choosing worldwide single trip insurance for two weeks could pay a premium starting at £23.21.
