Thursday, 18 February 2010 09:00

Legal & General has partnered with Sterling Insurance Company to offer home insurance to high net-worth customers.

Sterling's Executive Home Insurance will be offered to people who need £70,000 of contents cover or rebuilding costs of more than £800,000. People who have specified items over the value of £20,000 can also be covered by the policy.

Gary Burchett, managing director of Housing at Legal & General, said the new product allows the organisation to offer more comprehensive coverage to its customers.

He added: "This important partnership with Sterling complements our already strong GI [general insurance] offering ... We plan to add further services to our Network proposition with carefully selected partners this year."
