AEGON increases benefits for individual protection

AEGON has unveiled a new scheme whereby customers who take out two or more benefits on the same plan can get increased multi-benefit discounts.

The company said consumers could potentially save money through the initiative, as it allows them to consolidate their protection needs into one plan as opposed to using various providers for different types of cover.

Stephen Crosbie, head of proposition, protection and investments at AEGON, said the discounts will enable advisers to offer a full range of cover available to clients for an affordable price.

"Protection is not just about life insurance. It's important that people protect their families and businesses with the right mix of income protection and critical illness cover as well," he added.
