The Yorkshire Building Society has announced it is to launch a new product aimed at first-time buyers.

A new home insurance offer has been launched by Nationwide Building Society.

The deal states that if a customer takes out Nationwide buildings and contents cover at the same time, before September 5th 2010, they will receive free insurance for 100 days.

Nationwide Home Insurance has been awarded a five-star rating by independent financial research company Defaqto and its key features include replacement of home entertainment equipment if accidentally damaged and unlimited buildings cover for eligible properties.

John Baker, head of general insurance at Nationwide, commented: "We strive to give our customers the best possible home insurance cover so they can be assured they have bought a quality product."
