New comprehensive travel insurance from Saga

Saga has announced it is to introduce a new comprehensive travel cover to the market.

The organisation, which provides holidays and insurance products to the over-50s, said it is bringing out the deal in response to travel woes experienced this year.

It will give holidaymakers a top-of-the-range policy without the need to pay for an extra premium to add the cover on.

The upgraded offer will also cover those who are unable to reach a destination or return home for numerous reasons.

These include delays due to strike action and airport closures.

Andrew Goodsell, executive chairman at Saga Group, said: "We're delighted to incorporate a range of provisions for exceptional circumstances."
