Car insurance offered by Allianz has been launched on a price comparison website.

The protection company will now offer its online-only Your Cover policy, which allows customers to build their own bespoke deal, on Confused.com.

Consumers taking out the cover can add up to 14 optional insurance extras on top of the purchase of a basic level of comprehensive insurance, including roofbox, breakdown, foreign travel and trailer protection.

Unlike some insurance providers, people opting for one of the policies are not charged administration fees for any changes they make to the deal and can select the level of excess that they need personally.
