AA launches health insurance product

Tuesday, 30 March 2010 12:00

The AA has entered the health insurance market with the launch of a new private medical cover product.

Developed in conjunction with AXA PPP Healthcare, the offering provides three levels of cover for both non-members and members of the AA.

All three types of insurance include CT, MRI and PET scans, surgical procedures, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and day patient and inpatient care.

"This is a logical expansion of our health and life-related products ... Looking after the health of our members and their families is an obvious step," said Simon Douglas, director of AA Insurance.

He added that health screening cover and other services will be released later in 2010.
