Unused travel and accommodation cover on M&S travel insurance

Marks & Spencer (M&S) is offering holidaymakers £6,000 on its travel insurance package, to safeguard against an abandoned trip.

As part of the policy, travellers will be covered for any irrecoverable unused travel and accommodation costs.

M&S head of general insurance Andrew Ferguson said: "Travel insurance can provide financial support long before you step on to a flight . invest in a comprehensive policy now."

Among other things, the insurance includes cover for a passenger who is called for jury service, made redundant or not granted leave from a job in the emergency services, armed forces or a government department.
