Swiftcover.com has launched a new home insurance service with the aim of shaking up the sector.

The website noted it has made the quote process clearer and quicker and has taken measures to ensure customers only pay for what they really want to insure.

It claimed to offer excellent cover as standard, while offering 'bolt-on' extras for items such as bikes and garden equipment.

James Barclay, home underwriting manager at the portal, said the organisation wants to entice consumers by "proving that switching your home insurance provider is quick, easy and could save you money".
