Santander car insurance in TomTom giveaway

Drivers will be able to get their hands on a free TomTom Start satellite navigation system worth £99 if they take out car cover with Santander Insurance UK over the phone before the end of the year, the company has announced.

As part of the offer, motorists who already have a sat nav system can opt for £50 cash back.

TomTom corporate and automotive manager Darren Cottage said research has shown that using a navigation device improves driver safety by reducing stress levels and heightening awareness behind the wheel.

"The TomTom Start is therefore the ideal driving companion to offer with Santander's car insurance," he added.

Santander Insurance director of sales and marketing Colin Greenhill said the offer is part of the company's ongoing drive to reward its customers.

He added that Santander offers to search a panel of insurers to find the best quote for customers, a three-year guarantee on approved repair work and a protected no claims discount for people with at least four years of claim-free motoring under their belt.

TomTom was founded in the Netherlands in 1991. Today, around 40 million use its portable navigation devices.
